Barred teal feathers are characterized by a pronounced, clean barring which creates strong contrasts and color accents on a large variety of salmon-, sea trout-, and wet fly patterns. Compared to mallard, teal feathers are smaller and softer and thus perfectly suitable for front hackles on ‘Spey Style’ salmon flies and various steelhead- and trout-patterns.
