Vision Hero fly reels feature a silky-smooth yet powerful disc drag system, consisting of five discs made of carbon and stainless steel. The spool has a simple and quick screw closure and can be effortlessly converted to right-hand retrieve if needed. The weight of the Hero Nymph & Dry fly reels is perfectly balanced for Vision's trout rods in line classes #3 to #5, providing excellent counterbalance even for longer nymph rods. This reel series performs exceptionally well on streams and rivers, accommodating a WF4F fly line with ample backing. The non-slip EVA handle ensures a firm grip even when wet, allowing for controlled line retrieval. The CNC-machined die-cast frame is extremely robust and durable. Another unique feature of this reel series is its fully enclosed frame! The full-frame design prevents thin leaders from getting caught between the frame and spool, a feature typically found only on higher-end reels.
