Vision Hero fly reels feature a silky-smooth yet powerful disc drag system, consisting of a total of five carbon and stainless steel discs. The spool on the smaller models has a simple and quick screw closure, allowing for effortless spool changes or a quick switch of retrieve direction in just a few steps.
The standard Hero fly reels in sizes 46 and 79 are true all-rounders for all types of fly fishing. The 46 handles traditional river fishing and light stillwater fishing with ease, accommodating a WF6F fly line with plenty of backing. Its weight is perfectly balanced for rods in these classes, and the large arbor spool reduces line memory effect. The 79 is its bigger brother, capable of handling heavier river fishing, predator fishing, and even light saltwater applications. A great choice for those looking for an affordable pike reel!
