Product information "Ultimate X Backing Multicolor"

This backing is one of the best on the market right now. It is round braided (8-fold interweaving) and, due to the clean and tight weaving, very resistant to abrasion.

The smooth surface of the backing prevents any damage to the guide rings, even under the most extreme loads. Ultimate X is perfect for fishing where you are running into big, hard-fighting fish, that really push the limits of your equipment. Due to the small line diameter, you can keep pressure on the fish, even during direction changes. Also, the backing capacity of your existing reel can be doubled, with a higher total load capacity. For all fly fishermen who are looking for a high-end solution for a premium backing, you’ve come to the right place.

Load capacities + diameter:

22kg with actual diameter of 0.27mm

32kg with actual diameter of 0,31mm

39kg with actual diameter of 0.33mm

51kg with actual diameter of 0.42mm

Details:

  • Color: Multicolor
  • Maximum spool length: 2000m
  • Color change every 10m (51kg line has color change every 25m)
  • The color changes not only adds a cool look to your reel, but is a functional way to determine how much line has been stripped, or how much line you have remaining before being spooled

Tip: To increase the optimal knot strength with this very thin, high-performance backing, double the backing for the loop knot. Doubling the surface in the knot increases the strength tremendously.
