With the SP1 Pro Spin Jig & Cast rod series Spro has brought out an excellent product specifically designed for the jig and crankbait anglers. All areas, from light fishing for perch and asp to medium-heavy fishing for the larger predators such as pike & Co. were covered. The slim but strong semi-parabolic blanks offer plenty of backbone to set the hook efficiently even at longer distances. Thanks to the highly modulated 30T carbon fiber, the blank allows a high degree of sensitivity and control over the movement your lure and makes it possible to feel for any structures on the bottom of the water. The entire rod series can be divided into three weight classes.
Light
Casting smaller, lighter lures from the bank or boat requires a rod with fast action, high sensitivity, but enough backbone to set the hook at longer distances. The Spro SP1 Pro Spin & Softbait in 2.45m and 2.75m lengths respectively have a casting weight of 5-20 grams. The action of these rods is ideal for jigging rubber baits for big bass and walleye or fishing smaller crankbaits and spinners for chub, asp and co.
Medium Light
The medium weight models of the Pro Spin and Softbait rods are true all-rounders with a casting weight of 15-40 grams. The responsive and sensitive blanks are available in 3 different lengths and offer years of reliability when built with high quality components. The 2.45m and 2.75m rods are designed for pike and walleye fishing with rubber baits, spinnerbaits and crankbaits. The 2.90m version is a true casting and distance rod with excellent characteristics for walleye and asp fishing, or especially when targeting capital sea trout on the coast.
Medium Heavy
A fast and powerful spinning rod for medium heavy spin fishing for pike with a variety of hard and softbaits. The slim but very strong semi-parabolic blanks offer enough power reserves to bury the hook into any pike's hard mouth, even at longer distances. Through the blank you feel at any time what is happening to your bait under water.
