The fairly young Swiss rod building company Bullseye Fishing was "only" founded in 2014, but already enjoys an impeccable reputation and is particularly known for its innovative rods and renowned technologies. The man behind the brand, Markus von Euw, has been a successful tournament angler for many years and brings a huge amount of experience on board, much of which he naturally contributes to the development of the rods. Since the very first rod Bullseye Fishing leaves no doubt about their rods, because to work exclusively with the highest quality components and to guarantee the currently technically best implementation and production of the rods is the credo of this determined, young tackle forge.
The Milfhunter of the Swiss rod builder Bullseye is the battleship of the range. As the name suggests, it serves the very biggest baits and the largest predators of our waters. It is designed for bigbaiting with the largest possible swimbaits, jerks, massive softbaits, or chunky wobblers. It is one of the very few rods on the market that can truly handle just about any larger lure.
Due to the very strong but progressive Lotus Woven Composite Blank, it easily delivers the big lures to long distance. It is really amazing how pleasantly lures of considerable 300 g can be cast with it. During the cast and especially when accelerating the lure, a lot of force is absorbed, so that the shoulder has to work, but even casting for hours is no problem.
Since the rod has already caught everything in pike, catfish and other large predatory fish in our home waters, it only remains to add that the Milfhunter also does well against any fish beyond our home waters. Especially in musky fishing it is a dangerous weapon, but it can also handle a halibut, a tarpon or even GT.
Lures under 300 g can of course also be cast excellently with it, whereby the lower end is reached at about 60 g casting weight, as the rod otherwise no longer loads enough. Due to its very light weight of 265 g, the Milfhunter may not seem so brutal in the hand at first, but anyone who once hurls the massive baits with it will quickly feel the incredible power reserves of the rod.
The high-quality Fuji PULS reel seat is embedded in the handle shape, so that it forms a seamless transition and there are no pressure points when casting and fishing. The countered nut ensures a bombproof fit, which sits the reel securely in the reel seat even after 1000 casts.
In short, a rod for all true bigbait fanatics or globetrotters who try their luck in cast big game fishing and do not want to compromise.
