The Lead Free Heavy Weighted Wire is a lead-free wire for weighting flies. Therefore, this non-toxic wire is an environmentally friendly alternative to normal lead wire. Nevertheless, it will still send your flies down into the “danger zone” due to its high weight. In addition, this supple wire is very easy to use and extremely versatile. For instance, it can be wrapped around the hook shank or it can be tied onto the hook shank in small pieces. This allows you to provide your flies with the necessary weight and the perfect shape at the same time – whether you’re tying nymphs, streamers or sea trout flies!
