These XL Tubes are perfect to tie Pike Tube Flies à la Niklaus Bauer. They also match the Bauer Pike Rig or every other big predator hooks, e.g. the Gamakatsu F314 #2/0.
If you want to finish the fly with a conehead or bead-head, simply use any 3mm tube as an adaptor (use some glue to fix the tubes). Above you’ll find an example of such a rig. To position the hook within your fly, just cut the XL tube to the desired length. Usually, the last third of the fly works fine to hook most of the fish.
