The Okuma Helios SX fly reel is an elaborately milled fly reel made of an anodized aluminum frame. The many recesses provide but not only for a great look, but also for good weight savings. In addition, the well-ventilated spool ensures that the backing dries quickly and is therefore longer durable.
A reel foot kept short ensures that the reel is as close as possible to the reel seat and thus to the rod. The advantage in this is an optimal weight distribution when fishing and especially when casting! The large brake knob of the reel is slightly ribbed, so you have particularly good grip when adjusting the felt disc brake system, which is known for incredibly smooth running. The generous spool design of the narrow reel allow it to always have enough backing behind the fly line, if the desired dream fish enters, brake and the capacity of many meters of backing, usually ensure a happy ending!
