Mucilin is an absolute classic! The material originating from England has been proven by fly fishermen for decades and has extremely versatile applications.
The red version was originally used to grease silk lines, but can also be used to treat modern leaders and dry flies. The green version is made of silicone and is therefore even better for modern fly lines with a plastic coating, helping them shoot through the rod's guides with ease and create less drag while in the water. However, you can also use this line care material on your leaders or for treating your dry flies before fishing to make them more buoyant or after catching a nice Brown Trout or Grayling to revitalize their floatation.
For applying Mucilin to your fly lines, the use of a small pad is recommended. For flies, you can put a small amount of the grease on your fingertip and then apply it cleanly on wings and tails, helping them ride high on the water surface.
