The revised version of the Force SL comes in a more solid design and with a belly in the spool cross-section for more line capacity. In addition, the spool diameter has been increased again and yet it weighs almost nothing! Lamson speaks of a reel made of pure muscle and bone, which we can fully confirm. The Ultra Large Arbor (ULA) design allows for maximum retrieve speed and minimal line memory, while the fully-fledged drag system is maintenance-free and smoothly adjustable. Waterworks is immediately associated by most fly fishermen with the lightweight, reliable reels. Yet the origin of Waterkworks lies in a small, innovative tool.
