Hunt's Original Floatant is a soft powder that keeps dry flies afloat longer by creating a protective barrier around the material that is maintained even in the most challenging conditions. It is particularly well suited for use with CDC flies. To make wet flies buoyant again, simply work the powder into the body with the built-in applicator brush. Excess powder is automatically removed in the first few false casts. When your fly lands, it floats perfectly and inconspicuously on the surface of the water. The advantage over conventional floatants with a liquid consistency is that nothing spills or smears here. The powder can also be used to coat nymphs which, once under water, create air bubbles. This way you can perfectly imitate emerging nymphs on their way to the surface.
