This Combo Pack by Hareline contains sechs pieces of deer belly hair in different colors. Due to its ability to float high and long, deer hair is used commonly for dry fly patterns - as a body (e.g. Goddard Sedge) or wing. Packed tightly onto the hook shank and trimmed with sharp scissors or a razor blade, deer hair makes great heads too. The most prominent example is the Muddler, a classic streamer for both running and still waters. As a more filigree variation deer hair can be used for extended mayfly bodies too.
