The H 400 BL is a jig hook with a classic shape matching any nymph pattern. The ultra sharp hook features a strong wire, a regular shank and a wide gap for best hook-up rates. Due to its long point fish don't get off during the fight, but can be released easily. Another reason for this is the fact that any Hanak hook is produced barbless already - a very modern attitude.
As any jig hook this one is great if your nymph should be presented near the river bottom. The eye is bend 60 degrees so that your fly rides 'upside-down' in combination with slotted tungsten beads. As a result, your nymph gets stucked much less.
