The Red Frances or Red Francis is one of the most effective pattern to catch Atlantic Salmon. Originally this fly is from Iceland but it is fished with great success nowadays all across Europe. It imitates a shrimp and this is why it works maybe best for fresh fish entering the river system. This version is tied with a copper tube and sinks therefor much faster.
