The first IMX Pro series was an attractive entry into the world of G.Loomis. These rods were developed based on the years of expertise of American guides for daily use and are characterized by a balance of impeccable workmanship and extreme durability. With the IMX Pro-V2S now comes the new version of the popular streamer rods out, and as a saltwater rod.
The new GLoomis IMX Pro-V2 Salt is a fast rod designed for streamer fishing in fresh and saltwater. The blank of the rod generates a high line speed to get maximum distances even against the wind. In order to also cast precisely in front of passing fish, the rod's lateral sway has been minimized for even better tracking. Also to the fast, new cast was thought, in which the lower half of the rod was strengthened, in order to lift large line lengths from the water. A complete stripping in of the line and new casting is not necessary with the IMX Pro-V2S. However, this reinforcement in the lower part not only improves the casting characteristics of the lightweight rod, it also ensures that the rod has more power in the fight, especially when it comes to large fish that need to be pumped in from the lower part. The handle is a comfortable full-wells design and the quality of the premium cork is very convincing. A darker composite cork ring is used on the underside of the handle for better durability, which is echoed on the end of the Fighting Butt. The ringing starts with Fuji-Tangle K-Frame lead rings, followed by hard-chrome snake rings that are precisely aligned and cleanly finished.
Manufactured are IMX Pro-V2S fly rods with the new ConduitCore technology from G.Loomis and the proven GL7 resin system. Thus, weight was saved again and the strength was increased in the right place. The result is a compelling mixture of power, durability and a comfortable weight. With these rods all performance requirements of modern saltwater fishing are met, from sea trout fishing, to the strongest predators on the flats.
