Product information "Fulling Mill Dry Fly - Croston's Mass Attack Barbless"

High quality dry flies from Fulling Mill from England.

Caddis flies are found on almost every stream and therefore belong without ifs and buts in the fly box. The Croston's Mass Attack from Fulling Mill is not an 0815 imitation of an adult Sedge, but has two special features: First, the superbly buoyant pattern (deer hair wings and parachute hackle from the rooster, thank you very much) has a sighter made of Antron. This allows you to see the fly very well even in low light conditions. Secondly, it has a green abdomen made of foam, which not only contributes to the carrying capacity of the fly, but also imitates the egg-laying of the caddis fly.

This fly is best suited as a 'bite indicator' in a duo setup of dry fly and nymph due to its first-class swimming characteristics (hopper dropper rig). But fished solo, the Sedge is also a catchy pattern that we use with confidence in fast water. Whenever caddis flies briefly touch down on the water's surface to lay their eggs, patterns like this have a clear advantage.
