Even without being covered with material, they make wonderful bodies of salmon flies tied in the Scandinavian style. In combination with a suitable inner tube, they are very easy to add to your pattern and can lead to excellent results. Due to the larger diameter, they deliver significantly more weight than a standard aluminum tube of the same length. This results in reducing unnecessarily long patterns and instead creates a nice, compact body. In addition, these bodies allow for an excellent weight distribution of the fly, resulting in a better presentation.

Tip:
We especially like to fish the Tungsten Bottletubes in combination with a floating shooting head and a long leader. This minimizes the effect of spooking the fish and still you have no problems with stretching the leader due to the compact weight of the tube. Thanks to the Tungsten Tube, you get a direct pull on the line and you can fish a very fast fly at the perfect depth. And we all know that speed is often the key to success in Salmon fishing. Even if you want to fish certain structures effectively - for example large stones - salmon flies with a tube weight are recommended.
