Tie your biggest tube flies for pike and taimen using these adh-fishing tubes! With a diameter of 5 mm they will securely grab hooks like the Gamakatsu F314 # 2/0 (others will work fine as well). The sample picture shows a basic rig to tie one of these XXL tube flies: The main body is tied on a 3 mm tube which is much easier for handling all materials. Insert a piece of 5 mm tube on the end of the 3 mm and secure it with some glue. To add some weight and more game to the fly you can use a bead head or cone to finish the fly.
Vary the length of the 5 mm tube to place the hook further rear of the fly. This will increase hookups for careful takes. Another option is using a Bauer Pike Rig
