Renzetti Presentation 4000 Cam Pedestal Base Fly Tying Vise
Like many success stories, the one of Renzetti began in a small garage, back in the early 1970s in Pennsylvania, USA. Unsatisfied with the tying vises available at the time, Andy Renzetti sat down at the drawing board himself. Not long after, the young visionary launched the world's first true rotary fly tying vise, a milestone for many fly tyers and just the beginning of a company history marked by innovation and creativity. Since then, much has changed and the market for high-quality fly tying products has grown considerably. What has not changed: The high standard for the outstanding quality of Renzetti products. Presentation 4000
The Presentation 4000 has been around since 1988 and is still an absolute favorite tying vise for many passionate fly tyers. Since the introduction of the 4000 model, some small details have been adapted and improved, but the basic structure of this all-time classic has been maintained over all the years. Never change a winning team!
The Presenation 4000 is especially good if you want to tie a lot of different patterns on different hook sizes. Smallest dry flies in hook size #28 or massive 4/0 predator streamers. This is ensured by the strong, patented precision jaws with anti-corrosion coating. You can tune the finely adjustable hinge individually to your fly sizes, so that every hook sits wobble-free from the first to the last wrap.
The true 360° rotation makes many tying processes immensely easier, whether it's creating a fine body ribbing or gluing your streamer heads. The crank arm and the orientation of the jaws can be positioned independently of each other. In other words: maximum flexibility when tying all types of flies. To allow the hook shank to rotate precisely around its own axis, regardless of hook size, the jaws can be moved with a locking screw.
The resistance of the rotation can be calibrated to two presets: One setting for your normal basic tying work, the second setting to fix your jaws in a certain position, for example. The quick change saves unnecessary hand movements and precious time!
Do you sometimes lack a third hand to manage your tying material? No problem, because the material clip provides quick and easy help, just like the robust brass bobbin holder. Tying thread and protruding material is kept out of the way, leaving both hands free for more demanding tying steps and always achieving the best possible end result.
The stem and rotary shaft are made of sturdy stainless steel, complemented by the solid brass rotary head and bobbin holder. Highest quality materials that promise a long life.
