Like many success stories, the one of Renzetti began in a small garage, back in the early 1970s in Pennsylvania, USA. Unsatisfied with the tying vises available at the time, Andy Renzetti sat down at the drawing board himself. Not long after, the young visionary launched the world's first true rotary fly tying vise, a milestone for many fly tyers and just the beginning of a company history marked by innovation and creativity. Since then, much has changed and the market for high-quality fly tying products has grown considerably. What has not changed: The high standard for the outstanding quality of Renzetti products. Because today, as then, the family-owned company delivers absolutely well thought-out quality products to demanding fly tyers all over the world. All Renzetti components are still manufactured in the USA.
Presentation 3000
It all started with the Presentation 3000: it was the very first "True Rotary Vise" of its kind. As Renzetti's first tying vise, its launch back in the early 70's was an absolute revolution and defined a new standard for the fly tying world. Many manufacturers have copied or adapted this concept over the years. But even after all this time, the smart design still finds a lot of use today and adorns the tying tables of many modern fly tyers. Never change a winning team!
Especially for smaller hook sizes from #28 to #2 the Presentation 3000 is ideal. Dry flies, nymphs, small streamers are the specialty of the tying vise. The patented precision jaws with anti-corrosion coating are contracted and precisely locked by an ergonomic turning knob, so that even the smallest hooks sit wobble-free from the first to the last wrap.
The design of the tensioning jaws and the rotation shaft offers maximum clearance and freedom for your hands to precisely complete delicate fine work on small fly patterns. And still feel like you're missing a third hand to manage your tying material? No problem, because the material clip provides a quick remedy, just like the robust brass bobbin holder. Tying thread and protruding material is kept out of the way, leaving both hands free for more challenging tying steps and always achieving the best possible end result.
The 360° stepless rotation makes many tying processes immensely easier, whether creating a fine body ribbing or varnishing heads. The crank arm and the orientation of the clamping jaws can be positioned independently of each other. In other words: maximum flexibility when tying all types of flies. To allow the hook shank to rotate precisely around its own axis, regardless of hook size, the jaws can be moved with the aid of an Allen key.
The shank and rotation shaft are made of sturdy stainless steel, complemented by the solid brass swivel head and bobbin cradle. Highest quality materials that promise a long service life. A solid and wobble-free stand is ensured by the powder-coated steel base plate with standard socket. All components are the product of absolute precision work, we know it no other way from Renzetti.
In short, the Presentation 3000 is still a favorite after all these years when it comes to tying delicate flies. Whether you're tying your first fly or your thousandth, the tying vise allows you to achieve the best possible result with absolute precision and smoothness.
