Renzetti Presentation 2300 Cam Pedestal Base Fly Tying Vise
Like many success stories, the one of Renzetti began in a small garage, back in the early 1970s in Pennsylvania, USA. Unsatisfied with the tying vises available at the time, Andy Renzetti sat down at the drawing board himself. Not long after, the young visionary launched the world's first true rotary fly tying vise, a milestone for many fly tyers and just the beginning of a company history marked by innovation and creativity. Since then, much has changed and the market for high-quality fly tying products has grown considerably. What has not changed: The high standard for the outstanding quality of Renzetti products. Because today, as then, the family-owned company delivers absolutely well thought-out quality products to demanding fly tyers all over the world. Presentation 2300
The Presentation 2300 fly tying vise is an upgrade from the original Traveler series and combines a lot of the pro features we've seen in the Master series at a more affordable price. These features include, for example, the angled rotation arm that can be quickly and flexibly adjusted on the hinge to adjust the height of the hook. This feature is otherwise only found in the Master series and makes your life much easier if you often change between different hook sizes. Because from the smallest dry flies in hook size #28 to massive 4/0 predator streamers, the Presentation 2300 covers the entire spectrum. This is ensured by the strong, patented precision jaws with anti-corrosion coating. You can adjust the finely adjustable and smooth-running hinge individually to your fly sizes, so that every hook sits wobble-free from the first to the last wrap and can always rotate precisely around the hook shank. Unlike the Presentation 2000, the 2300 model is completely black anodized - this not only looks classy, but renders the vise even more durable.
The 360° infinite rotation facilitates many tying processes immensely, whether creating a fine body ribbing or varnishing/gluing heads. The crank arm and the orientation of the clamping jaws can be positioned independently of each other. The ratchet function even allows you to lock the rotation mechanism on one side. In other words: maximum flexibility when tying all types of flies.
The design of the jaws and the rotation shaft offers maximum room and freedom for your hands to precisely perform delicate fine work on a wide variety of fly patterns. And do you still sometimes lack a third hand to manage your tying material? No problem, because the material clip provides easy help, just like the robust brass bobbin cradle. Tying thread and protruding material is kept out of the way, leaving both hands free for more demanding tying steps and always achieving the best possible end result.
The rugged stainless steel shaft is complemented by a rotating head and arm made of durable black anodized aluminum. Highest quality materials that promise a long life. The black, powder-coated steel base plate with standard socket ensures a solid and wobble-free stand. In the recessed troughs therein you can organize hooks, beads, eyes, etc. and have them at hand as quickly as possible.
