The Thread Splitter splits any thread cleanly and without damaging it in the process. It has never been easier to split a thread so perfectly to initiate the next tying step. The splitter has two hooks offset 180 degrees at the tip. The larger of the two hooks for splitting is used for thick tying threads up to a size of about 8/0. The smaller one on the other side is used for thinner ones such as 14/0.
