Again and again we are surprised by innovative, new fly tying materials. The Silky Pike Hair is exactly such a material and has convinced us right away. The hair is soft and silky, but very voluminous due to the slight crimp. Perfect for creating large silhouettes with little material. There are hardly any limits to the size, because the individual strands are a whole 60 cm long. Perfect for massive predator flies! Whether on pike, catfish and pikeperch, or in tropical saltwater on barracuda and GT. Of course, the material can also be shortened to tie smaller Baitfish patterns.
These synthetic fibers do not absorb any water and the water shakes off on the first cast. So even voluminous streamers remain light as a feather and are easy to cast. In addition, the synthetic hair is very resistant and easily withstands the sharp teeth of predatory fish.
