For sure many of you have caught nice pikes fishing one of Niklaus Bauer’s Pike Tubes.
If you want’ to get them to the bottom, simply use these new Bauer XXL Pike Coneheads. With a total weight of 3,45 g per head they are way more heavier than the messing ones. Not supporting for easy casting but you will definitely fish in the zone. We recommend to use at least # 8 rods combined with a short belly fly line that may even be one class above.
Either put a Conehead loose on your pike leader in front of the fly (you can as well fix it on the leader) or tie it directly into the fly.
They match our 3 mm adh-fishing tubes which then fit into our Pike Tubes for the Pike Hook Rig as pictured above.
Tip: You can put an additional Bauer Pike Beads onto the leader. Like that your fly will not only add even more weight, but every strip will produce a loud click as the two metal parts pop against each other. This is known from the famous “Texas Rig”.
