Moose Hock is a versatile natural product in best Wapsi quality. The long, stable hairs are very suitable for tying dry flies - especially sedge flies like the popular Elk Hair Caddis. The material which gives the pattern excellent buoyancy, which is a great advantage on strong currents. The natural colouring of the elk hair is characterised by light and dark hairs, which allow very realistic imitations. Due to its structure, the hair can also be used as a tail or tied around the hook shank as a head - e.g. for a muddler or other small streamers.
