For many years the fur of the Icelandic sheep has been one of the most popular natural tying materials for making streamers - e.g. for Pike.
The hair of the Iceland sheep feautres a great structure and can be used for various imitations of baitfish. Simply every predator likes the gigantic volume of Icelandic sheep - no matter if tied as a tail or head. The soft material does not collapse in water, creates a great silhouette and pushes water properly. Of course the natural material can also be combined with synthetic fibers to create shine effects - e.g. with Polarflash or Flashabou. Another area of application for Icelandic Sheep is Salmon fishing. Just think of patterns with long wings like Collie Dog, Sunray Shadow and many other well-known Scandinavian Salmon flies.
The Icelandic Pike Hair offers great quality, a nice selection of colors and a superb price!
Tip: The average length of this natural product is 20 - 26 cm. To obtain a particularly beautiful taper, Icelandic Sheep should be brushed vigorously after taping.
