Classically, this feather is used for imitating tails, bodies and wing sheaths. Probably the best known is the "Pheasant Tail Nymph", which is made almost entirely of hunting pheasant. The natural material has great shading and gives your pattern a realistic look. When tying a body, you can easily tie 2 to 3 fibers at the same time, so the body is finished faster and gets a very special look. However, securing should not be forgotten.
