Ostrich Feather big

Ostrich Feathers are a very popular natural tying material. This highly versatile soft feather can be used for many differenct flies, e.g. for Salmon tube flies. Due to their smooth structure and lengths, Ostrich Feathers are used for imitating nymph/scud legs too. And even for big, bulky Pike Tubes (e.g. by Niklaus Bauer) this material is a great choice. The wide range of both natural and attractive colors offer plenty of opportunities on the tying desk.

 

Fibers are ca. 4 cm long and feathers ca. 15 - 18 cm overall.
