Wapsi lead dumbbell eyes are a great choice to add weight and/or a jigging motion to all sorts of streamers and baitfish imitations. A must have if you plan on tying the famous Clouser Minnow. Due to the heavy weight they’ll also make bigger streamers jig strongly. Another application of these heavy lead eyes are crab and shrimp patterns for flat fishing where the weight makes the flies fish upside down, close bottom and without snagging. The small sizes are suitable for nymph and damselfly patterns as well. Owing to the taper, dumbbell eyes are tied on easily and will always sit straight on the hook. For maximum durability cover the thread wraps with superglue.
