Wiggle Tails are simply awesome! They consist of a thin but yet totally tear proof and very durable coated textile canvas which comes in great colours and even holographic prints on it.
You won’t cast a mile with an attached tail and they make some noise cutting through the air, but it is all worth it when you see how they perform in the water and how they will increase your hookups.
You can fish them with a weighted fly to achieve a jigging effect, though we found out that they perform really great by slowly and constantly retrieving them. The depth of the fly can be set by different sinking rates of leaders and lines.
So try to lock your rod between upper arm and body to get a constant pull with both hands. Slooooowly moving these wiggling tails will make pikes crazy and they strike really hard – putting a big smile on your face. For sure you have to try them for pike perch as well!
Use Snaps for Hooks / Tails to quickly change these tails on any flies.
Wiggle Tails became famous through Niklaus Bauer (Inventor of the Bauer Pike Tubes).
Yet their land of origin is Italy, where Paolo Pacchiarini brought them to life.
Hint: No limits to your phantasy! Individualize by cutting them with scissors. E.g. cut two thin tails out of one big jumbo or add some holes for additional turbulence underwater.
