Guideline ULS 2.0 Ultra Light Scandi Trout Spey Switch Fly Rod

With the success of the ULS Hybrid Switch rod, it was only a matter of time before there was a successor. With the new ULS 2.0 Switch rod, Guideline is now presenting this successor, which focuses a little more on the two-handed technique than the ULS Hybrid Switch.

The Guideline ULS 2.0 Ultra Light Scandi Trout Spey Switch fly rod is slightly longer than its previous model and is slightly more underhand casting oriented than the shorter hybrid models. The ULS 2.0 thus defines the classic Switch rod experience with improved usability. The Switch's powerful blank makes it incredibly easy for casters to fire off their setup, whether Switch full line or heavy sink shot head. Casting the rod with Guideline's ULS 3D heads is particularly ingenious, extremely effective and with little effort the fly is in the next drift. Thanks to the various models, the switch rod is a versatile powerhouse that can be used for everything from fine trout fishing to large salmon.

• 10.6 ft #5: The smallest model of the ULS 2.0 is the perfect choice for smaller streams or rivers. It covers the entire spectrum of trout spey fishing and is ideal for hunting brown trout and sea trout in summer when the water levels are low and a fine presentation is important.

• 10.6 ft #6: The class #6 rod is the big brother of the fine "Trout Spey" in #5. It is perfect for fishing for brown trout in larger rivers, but also offers the possibility of fishing effectively in smaller waters than on the coast. In addition to brown or sea trout, the 6-weight switch is an ideal choice for light fishing for grilse.

• 11 ft #7: If you want an all-purpose switch rod, the 11ft class #7 switch rod is THE rod you need. It can be used for fishing for large trout, such as brown trout or sea trout, but has enough power to control even Atlantic salmon.

• 11 ft #8: The powerhouse of the Switch series is designed for medium and large rivers, whether with a floating line or heavy Skagit heads. Large trout, high water levels and even Atlantic salmon are absolutely no problem for this rod.
