Vision Merisuola Graphene Single-Handed Fly Rod

The Merisuola Graphene succeeds the XO series from Vision and takes the place at the head of the table in the large rod family of the Scandinavians. These single-handed rods were developed for two purposes: firstly, for fishing for native predators such as perch, zander, pike and co. and secondly, for tropical saltwater fishing. Compared to the Merisuola Predator, its action is faster and works more from the tip - an advantage in strong winds in the Baltic Sea or the Caribbean. In addition, the innovative use of Graphene saves about 10% weight compared to normal merisuola rods. The Merisuola Graphen impresses in many ways - not only by its very modern design and the high quality components. Even the most demanding fly fishermen will find this rod series easily meets their needs!

As its name suggests, the blank of this innovative rod is made of graphene - one of the strongest materials in the world. It therefore impresses with its unique lightness and simply impressive stability. Furthermore, this state-of-the-art blank has been paired with the best rod building components on the market. These include, for example, Titanflex rings with ceramic inlays, which deliver first-class performance both when casting and under stress. But that's not all, as the Merisuola Graphene also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of casting performance. Its quick action is very lively and at the same time supple, which allows perfect presentation at all distances - from close range to maximum casting distance. Thanks to its powerful casting characteristics, it always transports your fly to its destination in a controlled manner using tight loops. You can simply cast the fly with great sensitivity and precision - for example when fishing for bonefish, permit and other delicate species. With this rod you can clearly see that the Vision team was able to draw on the valuable experience of professional saltwater anglers in the design and construction process  - it was worth it!

In short, the state-of-the-art Vision Merisuola Graphene single-handed fly rod impresses with its record-breaking stability, impressive lightness and very lively action - a simply perfect combination for predators in fresh- and saltwater. Two highlights of the fresh design are on the one hand the target fish shown on Blank and Fighting Butt and on the other hand the modern spacer made of anodised aluminium, which we also know from the Merisuola Predator.

Our recommendations:

  • #6: A perfect rod for fishing for Perch, Asp or large Rainbow and Brown Trout with streamers! With about 100g this model is very light and offers a high fun factor.
  • #7: Our choice for Sea Trout and lightweight fishing for Bonefish! The fast tip action harmonises with both full lines and shooting heads and allows impressive casting distances - even in windy conditions.
  • #8: We recommend this rod for light saltwater fishing (e.g. for Bonefish), for use in the jungle (e.g. for Peacock Bass) and of course for lighter Pike fishing with handlength streamers. A universal rod for many application scenarios!
  • #9: Our favourite of the rod series! Perfect for fishing for Permit, but also for Pike or Peacock Bass and Golden Dorado. With this rod you can cover a lot of target fish and have an ideal combination of power and clean presentation.
  • #10: A very powerful rod for heavy Pike fishing (e.g. from a belly boat with sink lines), light Tarpon fishing and a great choice for popping Barracuda, Jacks etc. in the tropics. A workhorse that is nevertheless very light in the hand.
  • #12: The rod for the rough! With this rod you are well equipped for big Tarpons, Tunas, GTs and other big fish! Big flies, lots of wind, challenging drills ... no problem at all for this Power Horse.
  • #14: One of the strongest rods on the market! Ideal for bluewater fishing for Tuna and similar species.
