The Clearwater series from Orvis is considered the benchmark in its price segment and proves that fly rods with strong casting performance, high-quality components and a stylish design don't have to cost a fortune - price-performance par excellence!
Once again, the Clearwater series harvests the fruits of the top models from the Orvis lineup - findings from the development of Helios 2, Helios 3 and Recon rods have been incorporated into the Clearwater and are largely responsible for its taper design. Another new feature of the Clearwater is that each rod has an individual taper. The action has been adapted to the typical area of application of the respective rod class. The new Orvis Clearwater Euro Nymph single-handed fly rod is perfectly designed for modern fishing with the nymph in Euro Nymph style. A lightweight blank with a fine tip for ideal bite detection and a powerful butt section that can also tame larger fish in the fight. The Clearwater Euro Nymph has a down locking reel seat for ideal weight transfer. The reel sits at the end of the reel seat and takes the weight of the rod and reel from the outstretched arm to ensure fatigue-free fishing.
The new Clearwater comes with slim handles across the board, which not only look better thanks to high-quality cork, but also last longer - rubber cork end caps on the models with fighting butt provide additional durability. With the rod class and length printed in large letters above the handle, the Clearwater fits into the new Orvis family and has a very modern look - just like the Helios.
