On the other hand, the 7-weight rod is an optimal choice for single-handed salmon or sea trout fishing or making extra-long casts on stillwaters. Here, the blank has been modified to make the action slightly faster, allowing for even higher line speeds. In addition to slight adjustments to the rod action, grip shapes have also been modified. Both the 5-weight and 6-weight rods now feature a nice half-wells grip, providing even better handling. Of course, the excellent quality of cork remains unchanged. NAM continues to use their unique Delgado cork, which has become well-known far beyond the borders of Scandinavia. You'll hardly find better cork on the market currently! Blanks are still manufactured in South Korea, utilizing graphene crystals, which have a special structure making them extremely robust and lightweight. The result of this exclusive material blend is rods that impress with their low swing weight, noticeable right from the first meter of line cast.

Warranty: From the date of purchase, NAM provides a free 2-year warranty on defective parts. After these two years, defective parts will be replaced for a flat fee of €90 per part (or €120 per rod section). This service is guaranteed for a minimum of 5 years after the discontinuation of the respective rod series.

A few words about "Delgado" cork:

Literally translated, "Delgado" means thin/slim. The name not only applies to the new rod grips but also describes the way the bark of cork trees grows. The thin and very dense bark of Delgado trees grows very slowly and is therefore much rarer than that of other cork trees with thicker bark.

Advantages of Delgado Cork:

• Smallest pores, so there is hardly any need for additional filler materials.
• So stable that rubber ends on the grips are not necessary, saving weight.
• The slow growth of the trees results in a very high cork density, allowing the vibrations of the blank to be transmitted directly into your hand through the cork, making you one with the rod blank.

The bark of Delgado trees regenerates every 9 years, making it 100% sustainable. But it's not just renewable; cork harvesting also has a positive side effect on the tree. Harvesting promotes CO2-O2 exchange and has been shown to extend the lifespan of trees. A win-win for us and the environment!
