Hardy Ultralite Sintrix NSX Single Handed Fly Rod

With the Ultralite Sintrix NSX, the traditional English brand Hardy presents a successor to the popular Ultralite Sintrix 440. And once again the rod developers from Alnwick have succeeded in more than meeting the needs of the most demanding fly fishermen and designing a true dream for trout and grayling fishing. In direct comparison to their predecessors - which have already inspired us - Ultralite Sintrix NSX single-handed rods are even lighter, more responsive, more sensitive and can be controlled even better during casting and presentation.

We were initially skeptical before we tried out the Hardy Ultralite Sintrix NSX fly rods. Because ealier Ultralite rods were already among our absolute favorites for the delicate and particularly gentle presentation of the dry fly with thin leaders. And to be honest, it was hard for us to imagine where further potential for optimization lies dormant. But the newest member of the Ultralite family actually goes one step further. Across all casting distances, the ultra-lightweight blank conveys the highest degree of precision and feeling that is often required on rivers and lakes. The resilience of the fast rod blanks is even better and simply impressive! The new Ultralite combines consistent power with outstanding feeling and carries the fly precisely to the finish line - simply fantastic! The name Ultralite makes it superfluous to mention that we are dealing with a rod series that hardly weighs anything and has lost even more weight compared to its previous models. The rods have such a good balance that you feel like you are holding a touch of nothing in your hands. No wonder that even light reels can perfectly balance the Ultralite Sintrix NSX! The allrounder (9ft. #5) only weighs 85g. Impressive!

A further plus point is the extended rod range, which now also covers fishing with streamers or larger flies on river, lake and coast. Especially in the higher classes the enormous power reserves of the fast rod blank are clearly noticeable and can be easily called up in the fight and during casting. Sea trout anglers will also be pleased to hear that the Ultralite Sintrix NSX offers them another very interesting high-end product.

In short: The Hardy Ultralite Sintrix NSX is a real winner in all line classes and without a doubt belongs to the absolute top class. An ultralight fly rod that is a real winner with casting performance, noble components and high quality workmanship. The modern, wedge-shaped and laser engraved reel seat fits into the modern overall picture as well as the green blank with the neatly laid decorative windings and the high-quality titanium rings with ceramic coating. In the lower line classes the rods are equipped with a noble wood spacer, while in the higher classes a spacer made of quality carbon fiber is used.

About Sintrix NSX:

Hardy's Sintrix NSX fly rods combine the established Sintrix 440 technology with a secondary nano charged material that retains the core properties of the proven carbon fiber, while improving the feel, resilience and balance of the blank in the hand without relying on the increased stiffness of the high modulus material. Sintrix NSX allows additional weight savings without sacrificing stability. The result is rod blanks that allow the caster to feel the cast better and thus optimize control.
