G.Loomis GLS IMX-Pro Fly V2 Allwater single handed fly rod

With the first IMX Pro Series, G.Loomis offers an attractive entry into its world of premium fishing rods. These rods were developed based on years of expertise from American fishing guides for daily use, featuring a perfect balance of flawless craftsmanship and extreme durability.

The new G.Loomis IMX Pro-V2 is a fast-action rod with a wide range of applications, from dry fly fishing to nymph and streamer fishing. For every technique, G.Loomis has crafted an ideal model to match. The rod blank generates high line speed, allowing various types of flies to be cast over long distances, even in windy conditions. To ensure pinpoint accuracy with each cast, the side-to-side wobble of the rod has been minimized, improving tracking precision. Additionally, the lower half of the rod has been reinforced to facilitate quick line pickup from the water, reducing the need to fully strip and recast. This reinforcement also enhances the casting capabilities of the lightweight rod, while providing added power when fighting large fish that require pressure from the rod’s lower section. The grip is a comfortable full-wells design, customized to each model and crafted from premium cork. A darker composite cork ring is used at the base for durability, matching the end of the fighting butt on select models. The guide system starts with Fuji Tangle-Free K-Frame stripping guides, followed by hard-chrome snake guides that are precisely aligned and cleanly finished.

The IMX Pro-V2 fly rods are constructed using G.Loomis’s new ConduitCore technology and the proven GL7 resin system, which reduces weight and adds strength where it’s needed most. The result is an impressive combination of power, durability, and comfortable weight. These rods meet – and even exceed – the performance demands of modern fly fishing!
