The Wing Trout Spey combines the lightness and finesse of a trout or grayling rod with the construction and handling of a two-handed rod. The rod's action is very versatile, especially with regard to the use of various line types. Whether with light, integrated Scandi lines for native trout in streams or with short shooting heads for sea trout and grilse in Scandinavia, the application range of this 10.10 ft. #2 is much greater than you might think. Due to its light weight, it can also be cast single-handedly, so it can be used not only with conventional WF lines but also with modern nymphing techniques. The universal and very user-friendly, continuous action with fast recovery provides a lot of feedback when casting, whether with "normal" WF lines overhead, with longer Scandi lines, or with more compact Skagit systems. The application-oriented construction, such as the down-locking aluminum reel seat and the arrangement of the guides, perfectly rounds off the overall picture of the rod in our opinion.
