The GST fly reel is made of high-quality 6061-T6 aluminum, which is used in fly reels as well as in aviation. In addition, the GST has a carbon bridge, which is not only a visual eye-catcher, but also brings hardly any weight with it. The aluminum is also extremely light, yet very stable and durable. Perfect for designing a stylish, robust fly reel. In addition, the surface of the GST fly reel has been chemically treated and given a very scratch-resistant finish. This means that the fly reel can be confidently placed on a stone without the reel suffering any immediate damage. High-quality materials and other components can also be found inside the reel. For example, it has a multi-disc brake system that is 100% waterproof. The braking power of the GST fly reel is therefore not affected by water. The brake is controlled via a large, non-slip brake knob, which also has a scale. This means you can always set the perfect braking force on the thin leaders when nymph fishing and remember the respective number so that you can quickly find the setting again.
The best thing, however, is that the Traper GST Full Frame fly reel is a reel with a closed frame and large diameter. The cage prevents even the thin, monofilament nymph lines from slipping out of the reel. In modern Euro Nmyphing, it is hard to imagine using a reel with such a closed frame without it.
