With the new Clearwater Cast Reel, Orvis offers a high-quality large core fly reel for beginners with an excellent price-performance ratio. The reel is equipped with a powerful and sealed Carbon® disc drag, which ensures a smooth and jerk-free line release and is also corrosion-resistant. The reel body is manufactured using a die-cast aluminum process which, in addition to drastic cost savings, improves torsional rigidity and provides a durable alternative to plastic reels. Thanks to the large arbor design, the Clearwater offers fast line retraction and minimizes line memory. Large recesses in the spool also ensure that backing and line can dry out quickly after fishing. The spool can be easily removed with a lever release and switching from left-handed to right-handed operation is also easy.
Like all products in the Clearwater series from Orvis, the Clearwater Large Arbor fly reel offers outstanding value for money - a rock-solid entry-level fly reel with all the benefits of large-core construction.
