The frame, spool, brake knob and reel foot are machined from cold-forged 6061-T651 aircraft aluminum. The cold-forging process combined with the hard anodizing of the surface give the reel an incredible robustness against all external influences such as impacts, sand or aggressive salt water. The reel's airy, ventilated construction not only creates a modern, timeless look, it combines a high level of stability with a relatively low weight.
But above all, the reel has got power packed on the inside: because in the completely sealede drag core slumbers a bear-strong multi-disk drag system, in which the drag power is generated by alternating carbon and stainless steel discs, which perfectly dissipate energy and generate pressure. At full power, braking forces of over 20 pounds are brought to the scales. More than enough to tame the fastest and strongest saltwater predators of these seas. Braking power can be fine-tuned in an instant via the smooth, easy-grip knob and always perfectly adjusted to the situation at hand, the target fish, your leader strength, etc. One less thing to worry about when the fish of your life swims towards the horizon.
