Airflo Skagit Scout 150
With the Skagit Scout shooting heads from Airflo, a whole new way of casting is coming our way. With their ultra-short design, they bring the Skagit style not only to the higher two-handed classes, but also to lighter fishing with switch and even single-handed rods. Heavy nymphs or streamers are no problem for the compact shooting heads and with a length from 4.11 m (!) you need minimal backspace when casting. Of course there is a polyleader or T-tip in front of it, but the whole system is still very short. All casts are child's play - without long casting movements and highly efficient!
Originally, Skagit heads were used almost exclusively for fishing for steelhead, but with the Commando Heads they are now used in almost all areas of fly fishing, regardless of whether you are fishing for huchen, pike or trout. The range of different weights covers everything from 3-piece single-handed rods to 10-piece two-handed rods.
Up to 300 grain we recommend a 5 ft or 7/7.5 ft polyleader, from 300 grain upwards 10 ft or longer will cast better.
