*1For over 100 years Cortland has been designing and developing some of the most innovative fly fishing lines in the industry. All Cortland lines are made with the newest technologies and materials in their Cortland, NY (USA) factory.
The Cortland Ghost Tip Fly Line is a floating WF line with a 15’ (4.58 meters) transparent intermediate tip, which allows the fly to be fished at a depth between 5-15’ (1.5-4.5 meters) deep, depending on the speed of the retrieval or current. The head has a short front taper for the best power transfer to the leader and for casting larger flies. The best application for this clear-tipped fly line is fishing in still and running water with nymphs and streamers. The transparent tip is almost invisible to the fish and allows the use of short leaders without spooking fish, which is a significant advantage in windy weather because casting long leaders in the wind is quite a chore.
The Ghost Tip Fly Lines are equipped with welded loops at both ends allowing for easy connections to both the leader and the backing.
