The Cortland 444 Seatrout Intermediate is a full intermediate line based on a braided core. The sink rate of the fly line across its entire length is between 1.5 to 2 ips (3.8 - 5.1 cm/sec). This ensures that the line can always fish in the prime strike zone directly beneath the surface waves, even in windy conditions — exactly where sea trout and bass prefer to hunt. Additionally, the full intermediate line significantly improves bite detection, as it maintains direct contact with the fly at all times. The medium-length 9.7-meter head is perfect for coastal fishing in the Baltic Sea. Not too long and not too short, it quickly loads modern rods and cuts through wind effortlessly.
