*1The Monic Advanced Clear Plus Fly Line is a floating line with a very low spook effect on the target fish. The Advanced has an aggressive taper that has a slight overweight. The weight is shifted to the front of the taper, this results in the fly line having a good forward pull and larger nymphs or bushy streamers are no problem. With few empty casts of this Advanced, the rod is already loaded for the close range and a few pulls later ready to shoot towards the horizon. The coating of the fly line was deliberately chosen in transparent, because many fish hunt with the view forward or upward. The fly line should attract as little attention of the fish as possible, so that he does not feel disturbed on the prey.
The core of the line consists of a braided line with little stretch, ideal for much control over the line and best bite detection and recovery. Especially when fishing with the streamer or similar flies a great advantage when the strip strike is passed directly to the fly.
The coating of the Advanced Clear Plus is a PVC which should be fished from a temperature of 4 degrees and more and it does not matter whether in saltwater or freshwater. The smooth and texture-free coating of the line is also extremely durable and abrasion resistant. So there are no limits to the field of application.
In short: The Advanced Clear Plus fly line is a true all-round line. Easy casting by shifting the weight to the front part of the head. Abrasion resistant and durable coating. Very low scouring effect due to the use of a clear coating that appears invisible to the sky. And the line can still be used in freshwater as well as saltwater, as long as temperatures do not drop much below 4 degrees plus.
So you can use one line for home fishing for pike, as well as for the next bonefish trip - awesome!

Monic's high-quality lines are made in the USA and offer fly fishers a PVC-free alternative to many other fly lines on the market. No harmful chemicals are used in Monic fly lines. All components that make up a Monic line are 100% recyclable. And because no PVC is used, the coatings contain no volatile and harmful chemicals that have to be added to PVC to make a typical fly line. The American brand, which was founded in the 1980s, recognises that there is an essential and vital link between a healthy habitat and better fishing. Therefore, one of Monic's founding principles is to develop and deliver the best performing fly lines that also help protect our waters for future generations of anglers.
