The Loomis & Franklin XP SENSE Nymph Fly Line is an ultra-thin double taper line primarily developed for modern nymph fishing. With a slender diameter of 0.56 mm, it is particularly well-suited for presentations in the style of a tight line, often collectively referred to as "Euro Nymphing." The advantage of such a thin line in nymph fishing is clear: When held high on the rod, the line sags minimally, providing maximum control over the lure and very precise strike detection. Combined with a Euro Nymph leader, you get a setup that equips you perfectly for ultra-fine nymph fishing in streams and rivers. Although this line is optimized for fine nymph fishing, its double taper design also allows for very delicate dry fly presentations at short distances. For optimal strike detection, the Euro Nymph Fly Line features a 10 ft long, color-contrasted section. The orange part of the line can be used as a sighter, making it easier to detect subtle strikes against various river backgrounds.
