The Cortland Competition Mono Core DT is an ultra-thin double tapered line, which was developed primarily for modern nymph fishing techniques. Due to its thin diameter, it is particularly well suited for tight line nymph presentations, often referred to collectively as 'Euro Nymphing'. The taper runs evenly on both sides to the last 5.2m. When nymph fishing the advantage of such a thin line is clear: With an elevated rod, the line minimally sags, thereby ensuring maximum fly control and very accurate bite detection. In combination with a Euro Nymph leader, you will be prepared to employ this highly productive technique to present ultra-fine nymphs on creeks and rivers.
Although this line has been optimized for fine nymph fishing, the Double Taper design also allows you to use it for very delicate dry fly presentations at short distances.
