The Airflo Ridge 2.0 Superflo Double Taper is an ultra-modern, top-class DT line. Like all fly lines in the Superflo series, it is equipped with ‘Flo’ technology. This technology makes it possible to use significantly thinner running lines and completely without PVC.
Similar to fibreglass rods, DT lines have been making a comeback in recent years - and for good reason, as this classic line type has a lot to offer. Whilst WF lines only lie gently on the water from a certain club length, DT lines are known for their harmonious loop pattern and impressive precision over all distances. When it comes to the sensitive presentation of a dry fly, DT lines such as the modern Airflo Ridge 2.0 Superflo Double Taper unfold their full potential. Its compact front taper ensures outstanding performance even at close range, allowing you to present your fly precisely even at short distances - one of the key characteristics for fishing in small waters. It also offers a significant advantage over WF lines at greater distances: the double taper design enables controlled empty casts, even beyond the club length of a WF line, which ensures precise fly placement. It also features the so-called Ridge 2.0 technology.
This is a special surface structure with grooves running parallel to the line. This structure minimises friction in the guides, ensures impressive shooting characteristics and a quiet lift-off from the water surface. This revised version of the Ridge technology is less ‘aggressively’ grooved and therefore significantly smoother and also quieter when casting. In combination with this technology and a thin running line, this produces outstanding shooting characteristics for an impressive casting distance. And thanks to its innovative PU coating, it is significantly more durable than conventional PVC lines. In addition, the increasing weight distribution towards the centre of the line makes it ideal for roll and spey casts of all kinds - both at close range and at longer distances.
