Vision Extreme+ Tippet on Spool

With the new Extreme+ leader material Vision has given its already very popular Extreme Tippet a proper facelift. The material is extra stiff and therefore particularly well suited to turn over larger, heavier flies. What's special about the material is that it's a monofilament coated with fluorocarbon. So you get the high breaking strain and durability of monofilament nylon, but the stiffness and abrasion resistance of fluorocarbon. Underwater it is especially inconspicuous, because Fluorocarbon has the same refractive index as water.

The Extreme+ Tippet is our preferred choice for salmon and sea trout. Also on the coast with a lot of wind the stiff material helps to stretch your flies and prevents wind knots. In the thinner strengths we like to use it especially for nymph fishing, as it allows excellent bite detection due to the little stretch. At the same time, however, it has enough breaking strain in the thin diameters and is above all very abrasion-resistant when the nymph is constantly drifting along the bottom and in the structure.

Extreme+, like all other Vision tippet material, comes in interlocking and rotatable spools. So you can conveniently nest all your Vision spools together and always have them at your fingertips.
