The three-layer construction of this new nylon imparts unique material properties. A core layer provides the right blend of strength and suppleness to perfectly present your fly while ensuring the necessary durability for landing powerful fish. The hydrophobic coating ensures the nylon remains dry throughout the day, preventing weaker knots and overall reduced tensile strength. The third layer is a continuous coating that produces a smoother, more consistent, and reliable surface. All X-rated leaders come with a special Umpqua ProBand to prevent unwanted unspooling.
